Testo Australia ... our local story
In 1989 a partnership was formed in Melbourne between Testo SE &Co.KGaA and a local company - Sense Measurements. Sense Measurements was appointed as the local agent for Testo instruments and operated from Glen Waverley in Victoria.
In 2000 Testo SE &Co.KgaA acquired Sense Measurements and Testo Pty Ltd (Testo Australia) a 100% owned subsidiary of Testo SE &Co.KGaA was established. From humble beginnings in Bayswater Victoria, Testo Australia Ltd has now purchased and established its head office in Croydon South, Victoria. Today the company employs a dedicated team to grow our various market segments, offer service and calibration on all our instruments and together with a network of dealers spanning all states in Australia provides excellent customer service to our clients.
Testo Australia Ltd in the early years set its sights on capturing the food market partnering with some of the largest supermarkets and fast food chains to firmly establish itself as a leader in temperature monitoring of food. The thermometers and data loggers used in this market soon became a benchmark within the food industry. Even today they are the popular choice for temperature monitoring by both food retailers and regulators.
Testo Australia over the years has expanded into other markets such as HVAC/R. Emissions, IAQ, Hospitals, Science and Pharmaceutical. The range of electronic digital instruments manufactured by Testo as such, cover a multitude of applications, these include emission monitoring of diesel engines and gas fuelled turbines used in mining and coal seam gas applications, boiler/burner maintenance, thermal imaging cameras for electricians and building maintenance, research and facility management, to name a few.
Another area of growth for Testo Australia is the automated data monitoring of blood fridges, liquid nitrogen tanks in the main within IVF applications and fridges and freezers in hospitals and research. The systems used apply the latest technology using wireless, WIFI and Ethernet technology.
Testo Australia supports a majority of our local universities and TAFE institutions who widely use our instruments for teaching and sponsors awards for the “Apprentice of the Year”.
